Maya and the Seven Limbs
Maya and the Seven Limbs is a children’s book inspired by Imam Ghazzali’s teaching of guarding the actions of our 7 limbs to get closer to God and our best self.
Maya was co-authored by 7 families from around the world including the family of Muraqaba founder Wadud Hassan and Family.
This book was published by Al Karam Institue for Islamic Psychology and edited by Dr. Carrie York.
Chapter 6 – Cranberry Bliss Bar Explosion is Guarding the Tongue and was written by Wadud, Leiya, and their twin girls Alishba and Jannah (9 at that time). The girls also illustrated the chapter.
Meet Maya
Maya is an 8-year old Muslim girl. She is adventurous, curious, eager to learn and please, and loves her family, friends, and God. She lives with her mom, dad, grandmother, older brother Abdullah and older sister Selma.
